Wild Kin 4
This piece is part of a suite of collages about rewilding and returning to my wild essence. When I am in nature, I am inspired by the trees, the birds, and the richness of the soil. To be in nature is to be in my body: to feel the textures on my skin, to move freely, to experience what it means to be human. I grew up in East Oakland, surrounded by concrete, with almost no access to wild places. Now I am reclaiming that connection and stepping fully into my wild side, because wildness is a birthright, not a luxury.
