This series of femme characters celebrates the sassy, eccentric, unapologetic, wild femme. Through these portraits, I celebrate femmes of color and the deep contributions we make within our communities, as well as our profound journeys of self-healing and transformation.

In this series, I explored creating character diptychs that embody the essence of these fierce femmes. Drawing inspiration from the patterns and elements that have shaped my previous works, I weaved them into these captivating portraits, infusing them with a sense of continuity and evolution.

Throughout the process, I embraced the challenge of simplicity, looking to capture the energy and spirit of each character through concise and intentional shapes. It was a departure from my usual intricate collages, allowing me to experiment with restraint and make deliberate choices that mirror the complexities and choices we encounter in our own lives.
