This work is a new series of collages about pleasure and my body. The human body is often forced into a narrow binary, yet it is expansive, mysterious, and powerful. I am deeply fascinated by my body and all it can do. After two decades of unlearning shame and exploitation, I am finally embracing pleasure fully. My purpose as an artist is to celebrate bodily autonomy, reclaim joy as my birthright, and trust my body’s wisdom by refusing dominant narratives that seek to shame wildness and freedom. For the past three years, naked photography has been a central part of this practice in collaboration with Bobby Gordon, allowing me to tap into nature’s wisdom and reimagine how pleasure is expressed.
