Saying NO means saying YES to the things that really matter to you. Saying NO more often and setting boundaries on your time and energy allows for you to focus on yourself and recognize that your time is precious. For most of my life, I had a hard time saying NO, because I didn’t want to miss out on opportunities, or I simply didn’t want to disappoint. But I recognize now that my NO is even more important than my YES, because it helps me set boundaries and honor my own body, mind and time. It allows me agency to create my life story on my terms.
