Collage with Linoleum Block and Screenprint Elements on Cotton Rag Paper
14.88 x 11.13 inches

In my printmaking practice, every hand-carved texture and shape represents hours of careful labor, far too precious to discard. This series grew out of a game I love to play: remixing leftover fragments from different collections to see what new compositions emerge. Here, letterforms from a spring series meet the organic, nature-inspired shapes I carved while celebrating Bay Area ecosystems over the summer. As I arranged these elements, three words surfaced that captured what I'd been feeling: AND, NUDE, and MORE, words that reflect a season of expansive, non-binary thinking. Each collage weaves these hand-printed letters together with rich, layered textures into a composition that is both playful and intentional. Available as individual pieces, these one-of-a-kind collages are original works that highlight the beauty of reuse and the unexpected connections between language and landscape.
