"Pasandola de Avión en Avión" (Going from Plane to Plane)

I completed this piece during my Artist in Residence at Kala Art Institute in Berkeley , CA. This print is a self portrait of how I feel when I am on planes, whether it's going to Tokyo or Berlin or Mexico DF or to Los Angeles. On many occassions, I sit in my seat and stare out my window and contemplate my life. Sometimes I cross my fingers and pray to my grandmother, especially when there is alot of turbulence which drives me crazy. I would have never imagined I would be going to some of these places, its odd to realize the many locations on the planet my art has taken me to. The background is a collage of my airline ticket stubs.
