Show Information:MACLA is pleased to announce its first Chicana/o Biennial , an exhibition and public forum conceived to take inventory of and invite reflection every two years on the continuosly emergent energy, critical edge, and aesthetic interventions within contemporary Chicano art.Our aim is to open up a discussion about contemporary Chicano art in all of its various forms, aesthetics, and manifestations. This exhibition presents some of the most innovative work by Chicano artists today and features a range of artistic generations. Featured artists include: Juana Alicia, Blanka Amezkua, Elena Carrasco, Antonio Castro, Roberto Cervantes, Francisco J. Dominguez, Juan R. Fuentes, Rupert Garc’a, Elizabeth G—mez, Maya Gonzalez , Jose R. Lizarraga, Alma Lopez, Juan Luna-Avin, Dawn Martinez Oropeza, Maria Bartola Mejia, Malaquias Montoya, Gabriel Navar, Francisco Ochoa, Alejandro Oliva, Carlos PŽrez, Marcus PŽrez, Praba Pilar, Lisa Ramirez, Favianna Rodriguez, John Gilberto Rodriguez, Tino Rodriguez, Arturo Ernesto Romo, Ivan Rubio, Phe Ruiz, Patricia Torres, M.
